This stand-alone laser controller has been developed as a universal or OEM configured laser controller. The version show at left is for an IPG 500W fiber laser. The page shown is the Manual page, giving you access to all the laser functions including:

  • Slider for power control
  • Keypad entry for power
  • CW, Burst or Pulsed mode
  • Footswitch, Local or Ext mode for controlling laser on/off
  • Momentary, toggle or timed

This is a NEMA-4 panel mounted system, measuring approx. 4"x6". The display is a touch screen panel. The membrane keys also perform navigation functions.

This is a full microprocessor based system with flash ram. All of the programs, settings and parameters are all saved in both battery backed RAM as well as the flash RAM system. Both ethernet and RS-232 ports are available for dedicated communication with external equipment.

Primarily targeted as an OEM device to be used on lasers with a simple analog input and/or digital trigger, the laserFE packs a lot of power in a small, low cost package.

Easy to use...
The pop-up keypad is used to enter numeric values. There is also a typewriter style keyboard for text input.

In the system setup mode, the unit can be configured to fit a specific laser or application.

For OEM's, the unit can be fully customized to fit your application.

Versatile...
Built in pulsing, ramping and weld profiles can all be used to allow the laserFE to perform many basic welding requirements.

Need to run a simple rotary weld and ramp your laser up/down? laserFE gives you the ability to create simple ramp-up, weld, ramp-down profiles quickly and easily, in pulsed or CW modes.

IO Capabilities...
The standard I/O on the system is capable of selectable sourcing or sinking outputs, up to 24vdc. Solid state modules or relays can easily be connected to allow greater currents and/or AC switching. The system has 8 outputs and 12 inputs available. There are also 8 total analog inputs (12 bit) to allow custom monitoring of any process values.
